now we know bible college love getting up early for their pre-dawn bible studies, but before they even get to their pre-dawn bible studies, there’s always a competition of who can get there first. whoever gets there first, gets the high ground.
there’s virtually nothing worse then showing up to conquer your local panera, only to find the flag of another crew already raised. once both groups have arrived, it’s on.
here are some tips to get to you local place of domination earliest:
1. set thirty alarms.
one alarm is not enough. what if you sleep through it? two is not enough. what if your alarm gets unplugged? so at least three alarm, on different devices. multiple devices, multiple alarms, multiple snoozes.
2. have a sleep over.
waking up early is no good if a slacker on your team sleeps through their fifteen snoozes. easiest way to fix that is to have everyone stay the night at your place to ensure a prompt arrival.
3. camp out outside your local institution.
whether it be a starbucks, panera, coffee bean or what have you, i’m sure they won’t mind if you pitch some tents outside their building and have a bonfire in their trashcan.
4. make friends with the employees.
this will serve multiple purposes, aside form the opportunity to gospel the hell out of them, they might let you in early. big advantage. its like being a VIP at a concert and having backstage passes. you just can’t beat that. win.
if you are reading this, and you are at home, in class, at work… you’re already too late. the best thing to do if you arrived later than your competition, is to simply inform them that you’re just super early for you prayer meeting the following day.
